Awayward is building a robust modern healthcare platform for international travelers. We are currently expanding our global network of high-quality healthcare providers to deliver seamless virtual care to travelers worldwide. We are looking for experienced, board-certified clinicians (MD, DO, MBBS, or local equivalent) to join us as independent contractors. Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality virtual care via video and asynchronous chat to international travelers, diagnosing and treating common acute conditions in accordance with local regulations.
- Navigate our proprietary platform and EHR with ease to document patient encounters, review medical history, and issue treatment plans or prescriptions where legally permissible.
- Provide empathetic, clear communication to patients who may be navigating a stressful health situation in a foreign environment.
- Collaborate with our Clinical Operations team to ensure adherence to Awayward's clinical protocols and quality standards.
- Maintain strict patient privacy and data security in compliance with local regulations and Awayward's global standards.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted medical license to practice in your current country of residence.
- Medical Degree (MD, DO, MBBS, or equivalent) from an accredited institution with 3+ years of post-residency clinical experience.
- Fluency in English (C1/C2 level) is mandatory; proficiency in additional languages is a strong plus.
- Prior telemedicine experience with a high comfort level using digital health tools, chat interfaces, and electronic health records (EHR).
- Reliable internet connection and a professional, private environment suitable for conducting virtual consultations.
- Malpractice insurance (coverage requirements may vary by region).
